How Do I set up Outlook Express to check my emails?

You will first need your email address, password, and Internet Service Provider Out Going settings.

Why...even though your email comes from your domain, most if not all Internet Service Providers block outgoing domain based emails, thus all "Sending" has to go through them.... So for example your internet provider is Bresnan, your out going SMPT would be mail.bresnan.net

For Step By Step Instructions

Email Set-up Instructions
Outlook Express

1) Go to the "Tools" menu, and scroll down to "Accounts"

2) Click on the add button, and select "Mail"

 

That will start the add email account wizard

Type in the name that you want people to see. Like "John Doe"

Click "next"

 

Now Type in your new email address.

Click "next"

 

Now Type in your domain like this


incoming
mail.yourdomainname.com

For out going you may have to use your internet server... Like this
mail.bresnan.net

If you are not sure let me know who you use, and I will find out!

Click "next"

 

then type in your email address again, that will be your account name

Enter your email password and check the box "remember password"

 

Click "next"

Click "finish"

Congratulations you are done!

Note: If you have having troubles Sending mail Try this below

1) Go to the "Tools" menu, and scroll down to "Accounts"

2) Click and select the email account you want to work with.

3) Click the Server Tab, Check to see if the Outgoing Mail Server is checked

 

That's it!
